Kia Aroha Campus is a Designated Character School with Bilingual Māori, Tongan and Samoan learning pathways from Yr 7 - 13 and Total Immersion language programmes in Te Reo Māori and Lea Faka-Tonga from Yr 1-6.

Please understand that completing this form is the first part of the process. Once your form is submitted, we will then contact you to ask you to come in and talk to us about your enrolment. Please bring your child's birth certificate and other documentation. At the end of this meeting, should you wish to proceed with your enrolment, you will be asked to sign a Declaration that you agree to the Designated Character of the school and will be asked to complete more detailed Medical Information and Internet Agreements.

Designated Character School
Kia Aroha College is a Designated Character school established under Section 156 of the Education Act 1989. In order to maintain our status as a Designated Character school, whānau must agree and understand that we are obligated to have a character that is different from the character of ordinary State schools (its different character) and that students at the school, will get an education of a kind that differs significantly from the education they would get at an ordinary State school.  (Please select Yes or No from the option box below)

We are a Year 1 - 13 Designated Character School. One of the most significant parts of our Designated Character is our commitment to bilingual education. We have no zone, however, we may not be the right fit for your family, even if we are the closest school to your home.  As a Designated Character School, we can only accept students and whānau who are committed to our school philosophy and kaupapa.  Please give a detailed explanation of why you want to enrol your child at Kia Aroha, and why our school is the right fit for your child.
