WELCOME to the first stage of enrolling at Waihopai School.
PLEASE NOTE:
- To complete this form please use a computer (not a smartphone or android)
- The following information will need to be uploaded before submitting;
- A copy of one of the following to show that your child is eligible to attend school in New Zealand;
- NZ birth certificate or NZ passport (if NZ citizen)
- Australian passport (if Australian citizen) or
- NZ residency permit or NZ student visa/permit and Parental work permit (if the child is not a NZ citizen).
- Evidence that your child lives in our enrolment zone (if applicable), this must be one of the following;
- Electricity Bill
- Rental agreement with bond receipt
- Sales and purchase agreement with electricity connection followed up with the first electricity bill
Further evidence may be requested closer to the time of the child starting school. Your child must be living in zone from their first day of attendance, and the in zone address must be the student's usual place of residence. The school must be notified of any change of address.
Once attendance has commenced, the enrolment may be annulled if the board has reasonable grounds for believing;
- that, at the time of application, the parents falsely claimed the student was living in the home zone or was entitled to a particular priority in the ballot, or
- if a student was enrolled on the grounds that they lived within the home zone, and since enrolling the student has moved out of the home zone and the Board believes on reasonable grounds that the student has used a temporary residence for the purpose of gaining enrolment at the school.
